HCS Family Services Junior Board Mission Statement
We are a group of motivated high school students who give back, have fun, and make an impact through volunteering, fundraising, and promoting the mission of HCS Family Services.
About the HCS Family Services Junior Board
The HCS Family Services Junior Board is a leadership group made up of 25 to 30 high school students from Chicago’s western suburbs who are passionate about making a difference in their community. Junior Board members support the mission of HCS Family Services by raising awareness, volunteering at our Hinsdale and Willowbrook pantries, and planning fundraisers that help local families in need. Through their service, members develop valuable leadership, teamwork, and communication skills while building friendships and making a meaningful impact. Members who fulfill the Board’s participation requirements may also include their Junior Board service on college applications and résumés.
Membership Commitment
As a Junior Board member, you’ll have the chance to make a difference, build friendships, and have a great time along the way!
- 🛒 Volunteer at the Pantry and experience firsthand how your time helps local families. (Trust us, it’s a lot of fun!)
- 🥫 Join fellow Junior Board members at food drives and help keep our pantry shelves stocked and ready for neighbors in need.
- 👕 Pay a $25 membership fee, which includes your very own Junior Board T-shirt.
- 🎉 Have fun, meet new people, gain volunteer experience, and make a positive impact in our community!
- Together, we can do great things while having a great time! 🌟
APPLICATION
Our application will be available on Instagram from August-15-September 10, 2026 at 11:59 PM. If you are 15 years or older, you must be an active HCS volunteer to apply for the Junior Board.
